Where is the Vale of Belvoir?

The Vale of Belvoir forms part of the counties of Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire in the United Kingdom, and is right in the heart of the English countryside and close to the East Midlands region. Often the Vale of Belvoir is referred to as in "Notts" Nottinghamshire, but it does have 3 counties within its borders. The name Belvoir means "beautiful view" and dates from Norman times.  More and more people are visiting the Vale of Belvoir, and enjoying the walks, the countryside and days out at Belvoir Castle, the home of the Duke of Rutland. There is a high speed train service from London Kings Cross station in London, arriving at Grantham station in just over one hour. The Vale of Belvoir is also within easy reach of Nottingham, Leicester, Lincoln, Stamford, Melton and Grantham.

The Marquis of Granby is a Brewsters Brewery CAMRA award winning pub. Brewsters has a long relationship with the Marquis and provides its award winning bitter called "Marquis" along with other fine ales sourced from real ale breweries. The pub can be found tucked away in the small village of Granby, in the delightful surroundings of the Vale of Belvoir. The Lodge in Belvoir Lane, Woolsthorpe has two separate rooms in the downstairs wing with shower and bathroom, these rooms are available for bed and breakfast. This provides private accommodation for the business stay over and is ideal for a family or two couples looking for a stay over for a weekend or a short break. The Lodge is ideally located, and has stunning views of Belvoir Castle from its own private and beautiful gardens. The Lodge is close to all the local walks, many of which are quite breathtaking, walking down Belvoir Lane takes you to the old footpath to Belvoir Castle, this is an excellent way to start the day.
