Bed and Breakfast in the best setting in the Vale of Belvoir

The Lodge in Belvoir Lane has a two separate rooms in the downstairs wing with shower and bathroom. The rooms are available for bed and breakfast.  Each of the bedrooms has a colour television with Sky package and drink making facilities. This provides private accommodation for the business stay over and is ideal for a family or two couples looking for a stay over for a weekend or a short break. The Lodge is ideally located and has stunning views of Belvoir Castle from its own private and beautiful gardens. The Lodge is close to all the local walks many of which are quite breath taking, walking down Belvoir Lane takes you to the old footpath to Belvoir Castle, this is an excellent way to start the day.

Woolsthorpe village with its village church and sand stone buildings against the green hill with cattle grazing is a wonderful setting. There are two local pubs The Chequers Inn and The Rutland Arms both with restaurants that are within walking distance of the Lodge, the Manners Arms in Knipton village is a 5 mins drive away. This is one of the best locations for bed and breakfast in the Vale of Belvoir and is within 15 mins walk of Belvoir Castle. The downstairs wing offers a lot more than just bed and breakfast and provides a very private set of accommodation.

A short break at The Lodge allows you to sample country life at it's finest.  Wild flower meadows, hedgrows bursting with wildlife amd numerous country lanes makes this the perfect spot for spectaular walks and ramblers.  It is a National Trust haven, with Belton House and Grantham House located in Grantham and Isaac Newton's childhood home, Woolsthope Manor in the nearby Woolsthorpe by Colsterworth.  The magnificent Burghley House is a 30 minute drive and is just outside the delightful historic town of Stramaford.  This means The Lodge is ideal Bed & Breakfast accomodation for anyone wishing to attend the Burghley Horse Trials (7-10 September 2006).

Staying at the Lodge enables you to go on that shopping trip you have been meaning to do, you are only 35 mins from the sophisticated cities of Nottingham, Lincoln and Leicester with large shopping centres and the local market towns of Grantham, Melton Mowbray and Newark are less than 20 mins away. If you are wanting peace and a quiet place to stay you won't be disappointed staying at the Lodge. We also have a holiday cottage available across the road from the Lodge with accommodation for four people.
