The Staunton Arms is a delightful family owned country inn and restaurant with en-suite accommodation. You can chose to take a drink to a cosy corner of the bar, enjoy a fabulous a la carte meal in our restaurant, sample one of our tempting snacks, or even better stay the night! We also pride ourselves on using local produce in our restaurant and all food from the mouth-watering menu is cooked to order. A visit to this truly traditional inn brimming with history and character would make that visit to the Vale of Belvoir extra special!
The village owes its unique character to the stewardship of one of the oldest families in Britain, the Staunton’s who to this day reside in Staunton Hall which still bears cannon ball marks from the civil war. Also nearby is Belvoir Castle, which has been the ancestral home of the Duke and Duchess of Rutland for one thousand years and is now the home of the 11th Duke and Duchess and their young family. The castle renowned for its breathtaking views is host to many varied functions and events.
The Staunton Arms is situated in an idyllic rural location, yet only two minutes from the A1 trunk road, six miles from the historic town of Newark and seven miles from the town of Grantham. The Staunton Arms can provide you or your organisation with a wide range of facilities for corporate events, functions, parties and accommodation if required.
