Restaurant with Bed & Breakfast accommodation

The Thatch is located in the stunning village of Bottesford within the picturesque Vale of Belvoir. It has been recently re-launched by Neil Murphy and Emma Roffe, who between them have a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry. They also have a high level of enthusiasm and strong belief in the importance of creating an establishment, which offers fantastic food, a welcoming environment, and providing the perfect location to stay and to soak up the delights the local area has to offer.  The Thatch restaurant showcases a menu to reflect the seasonality of produce, some good old-fashioned favourites and a variety of classical dishes with a modern twist. This is complimented by an extensive wine list.

Choose from delights such as Chicken Liver Parfait served with Melba toast, Apricot & Ginger Chutney or Crayfish & Avocado Salad to start.  Follow with Oven Baked Lamb Chump served with Buttered Mash, and Tomato & Mushroom Sauce or Grilled Chicken Breast Fillet with Lemon & Pineapple Cous Cous.  The dessert menu is totally fabulous and if you are lucky enough to visit when the yummy Tiramisu is on the menu then it’s your lucky day! Sunday Lunch is also a must, the freshly roasted joints and seasonal vegetables are cooked perfectly and what better way to spend a lazy Sunday? Wherever possible, locally sourced produce is used to reflect the seasonality and freshness on offer in our local region.  All meat & fish has complete traceability and is only purchased from reputable butchers & fishmongers.

Upon entering the doors of The Thatch you will immediately become immersed in the charm of this beautiful building.  Neil and Emma have successfully created a relaxed and welcoming environment bursting with the character you would hope to find in a quaint thatched cottage.  The interior feels very spacious, and light flows through in the day time while in the evening The Thatch is full of cosy corners and on colder evenings a roaring fire burns in the impressive open fireplace.  Whether you are visiting for a meal with friends, or a romantic drink with a loved one, The Thatch is the perfect choice for a relaxing evening.

The Thatch is also the perfect location to host any function, whether it is a romantic meal, a family occasion, celebration, wedding, corporate event or meeting, funeral tea or just a pleasant drink Neil and Emma are willing to accommodate your individual requirements.  The beautiful Terrace area is not to be missed during the summer months to enjoy a chilled bottle of wine, coffee with friends or a beer in our quiet secluded grounds, it is the ideal spot to wind away those sunny afternoons and evenings away from the hustle of the pubs as all drinks are table served.
