The quaint village of Wymondham is situated seven miles north of Oakham, the county town of Rutland, England’s smallest county and seven miles east of the historic market town Melton Mowbray, famous for it's fantastic pork pies! The village also has a great pub, The Berkeley Arms, serving excellent bar snacks and evening meals and within walking distance of The Old Rectory.
This part of Leicestershire is rich in its variety with plenty to see and do and The Old Rectory is conveniently placed for visiting the local stately homes of Belton House, Grimsthorpe Castle, Belvoir Castle and Burghley House along with the leisure pursuits of Rutland Water. The sophisticated and exciting cities of Nottingham, Leicester and Peterborough are also within driving distance.
