Many of  the restaurants use local produce. We have a wide range of local produce within the area from Melton Mowbray pork pie to local stilton cheeses.There are a lot of good food pubs in the area pubs next to canals and pubs that are in un spoilt Villages. We continue to make eating out special when we can. Romantic dinners, birthday dinners, anniversary dinners, retirement dinners, and all such celebrations are taken out of the home or the workplace and into the arena of public ritual. The fine stilton cheese is just one of a range of top quality food available in the Vale. Not only do we have the food we have a great selection of home grown foods being served in and around the Vale of Belvoir in pubs, cafes and delis. The best way to taste and find that food experience is to stay in the Vale at an award winning hotel or local B&B and visit the different places to taste the food. There can be nothing better on a summer’s day than to have a picnic with a Melton Mowbray Pork Pie, Stilton cheese and locally brewed ales, wines and Sloe gin.
