In the financial year 2007/2008 we flew 1104 missions and on 6th March 2008 completed our 10,000th mission. In England and Wales there are Eighteen dedicated Air Ambulance operations flying a total of 29 helicopters and all are reliant upon charitable support. An Air Ambulance provides an important and sometimes vital additional patient care service for our most critically ill and injured patients.
