Our driving School is situated between Grantham and Melton Mowbray and we collect you from home or work.
We are able to teach you to drive on some quiet roads at first as there are miles of rural roads in the Vale of Belvoir and Rutland to help you gain essential confidence and driving experience, before tackling main highways and dual carriageways and busier urban streets and roads. Our duel control cars offer you a safe way to learn to drive and our aim is to help you pass your driving tests first time, as well as learning your highway code.
As you might have guessed from my name, I am a female driving instructor.
I specialise in helping learner drivers overcome nervousness and lack of confidence by providing calm and reassuring driving tuition. I charge a fixed rate of just £20 per hour for the driving lessons. No introductory offers are available that cost you more in the long run, just high quality driver training and teaching and a very high first time pass rate, we aim to get you to a high advanced standard of driving as well as help you to pass all of your tests, theory test, perception test and the practical test.
Alison's also offer Pass Plus courses to improve the standards and confidence of recently qualified drivers.
Pass Plus can reduce insurance premiums too and also refresher courses for students or drivers from over seas who may not have driven for some time or on English roads.The thrill of the freedom that driving brings is what urges many of us to learn to drive as soon as we can. I want to make sure that right from the very start, young drivers learn the correct driving techniques to allow them to build their skills from day one.
For some, the thought of learning to drive may be daunting and at Alison's we aim to take away any stress involved to getting you behind the wheel. Current driving tests include many different sections, from the initial theory test through to independent driving, where you are asked to follow road signs to a specific location. I seek to overcome these nerves and to equip you fully for all of your tests. The roads in and around Grantham and Melton are relatively quiet, but offer wide and diverse traffic scenarios enabling students to practice all aspects of driving before taking their tests. Both theory and practical tests take place in either town.

The Pass Plus course will help you advance your driving skills and help you gain exta confidence.
Our pass plus course offers the newly qualified drivers the opportunity to drive in towns and cities, on motorways and dual carriageways, at night and during adverse weather conditions, under professional guidance. This course is to help you gain experience of some of the conditions not found when taking a driving test.
There is NO TEST required. It is a six hour course designed to build a pupil's confidence, and therefore safety, when driving. At the end of the course I will decide whether a pupil has achieved the required level or above. A pass plus course can be tailored to suit an individual as far as timing is concerned, but ideally, I prefer to cover all parts of the syllabus in 2 three hour sessions, if possible.
The current cost of the Pass Plus is £150 for complete course.
